3D Laser Scanning

3D laser scanning provides accurate as-built records for life of asset use, allowing you to design from your desktop and undertake clash verification between as-built scan data and the new design. With no need to travel to site locations, this process saves on cost and schedule for every project.

Advanced rapid mass data capture scanners are dimensionally accurate to approximately 3mm. They capture over 1 million points per second through 360°, both horizontally and vertically, with a range reaching over 80 metres. 3D Point Cloud data models can be directly interfaced with all CAD platforms including Autocad, Microstation, Smart Plant 3D, PDMS and E3D.

    In addition to point cloud laser scanning Scopus can undertake 3D ‘solid’ modelling to convert the point cloud into a complete solid model. This can be especially useful for our clients who do not have Laser scan compatible software or for those who need an ‘intelligent’ model to be created of the Asbuilt data.
